Default Sabaton

Just recently found these guys. Sabaton is Swedish Speed Metal band that only sings about history. Alot of WW2 stuff too

Yep, already knew about them =P

Sabaton is pretty cool, 40:1 is one of my favorite songs by them. I didn't really hear of them until they did this cover. original here

Ha! Love the song Primo Victoria, didn't even realize it was these guys but wanted to post it when I saw WWII themed metal.

I find it ironic that Folk music is about such plain, generic, life events and surroundings but metal delves so deep into folklore, history, and the darkest corners of fiction.

My sons clued me into Sabaton several years ago. I'm not a huge fan, but thought enough of them to get my sons some concert tickets to see them in Denver last year (Christmas presents). I think the lead singer sounds like the announcer for the movie "Gladiator" who did the intro's for the various gladiatoral contests in the Colosseum.

If you like Sabaton, check out Leverage. They aren't active right now, but have a 4 album catalog that's pretty good - a little more symphonic than Sabaton.
