OK, update from Branzone. The believe that they have isolated the problem to numerous DOS attacks targeting them. They believe that they have the situation under control and will be coming out with a statement shortly regarding the impact. Thanks to all of you that help diagnosis the problem and for your trouble as they worked their way thru the problem. If you are still experiencing issues, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Admins or myself or post in the tech support section.

We will continue to monitor the situation until we are satisfied that the issue has been resolved.

Today's Update - this is directly from Branzone:

There are two seperate problems that we have uncovered.

1. Several huge DDoS hits, affecting everyone. We've discovered the target for these attacks and the IP's were null routed.
2. Random disconnects every 5-10 minutes affecting only some users.

Out of all the traceroutes we have obtained from customers, everyone experiencing #2 seems to route over Savvis. At first the datacenter never mentioned anything about #2, infact they believed the problem was #1. However since I've now prevented #1 from occuring and the random disconnects still occur, they admitted to receiving multiple complaints from other customers describing #2. They assured me that the problem is currently being troubleshooted.

I've provided them with well over 20 traceroutes, all of them route through Savvis. I don't believe we need any more information at this time, I'll set this to pending and update you once we have more information.

Here is the second:

Greetings,
Savvis has been removed from inbound routing at this time until the problem is identified. If you or your users are still experiencing the disconnects, please have one or two users experiencing the problem run a *NEW* traceroute and attach it here.

Of the trace routes you guys provided, several of you were going into the server(s) via Savvis. If you are still experiencing problems, we will need two things: 1) run the program provided we asked you to capture the info you originally provided (http://winmtr.sourceforge.net/winmtr_bin.zip); 2) we will need your IP addy. Post your results in the tech forums as you did before. If you are sensitive about posting your IP, please feel free to send either Cuis or I a PM or email with your IP info. We will pull the trace route results from the tech support page. If you post your IP, we will delete it after we get the info we needed.

Thanks for your help and continued support. We are as frustrated as you are about this, but as you can see, we are working agressively with Branzone to resolve.

We are continuing to monitor the situation. So far the results look good. I'll give it till the weekend to see if things hold together. We will be pursuing Branzone for a credit for our inconvenience.

Thanks to all of you for your cooperation and patience as Branzone worked out their technical problems. With your help and our persistance, Branzone has offered a 50% credit for last month's invoice on both our DOD and CS servers.
