It's a calm quiet afternoon in the local town. As a family enjoys a fabulous meal in the crowded restaurant, across the road something is going down. The gas station clerk leads the last of four customers into the backroom at gun point. The head chef of the restaurant leaves the kitchen. He looks at the people enjoying their meals, takes out his gun, and fires it. They're shocked and remain still. He fires another round and shouts, "Get out, now!"
A spectator down the road laughs to himself as he watches all the families, women, and children run for their lives after only two shots from a low caliber handgun. He gets off his stool and makes his way down the road calmly into the restaurant. The man strolls into the kitchen and says, "Hey I thought you were open till 11. Wasn't it all you can eat?" Still in full cooking attire the cook replies, "Yeah well someone bit off more than they could chew..." The two enter the freezer. The chef looks down, sighs, and says, "C'mon help me with this." and the two lift up part of the floor and descend the ladder beneath it.
Behind a warehouse in an old beat up trailor, the owner frantically double checks all the security cameras again before feverishly hitting his light switch, revealing a stairway. He races down the steps and pauses one last time to make sure he hasn't forgotten anything. He closes the floor opening, leaving it as it was before.
In the autoshop's backroom the mechanic is in no rush at all. He finishes his snack, gathers what he must and takes the elevator down to where the meeting will be held.
Meanwhile, law enforcement is on its way...
As the man from the trailor runs down the hallway he's just in time to see the gas station worker throw their new hostages into a room, with the help of the chef, and the vender from the street. After locking the door to the hostages, the automechanic finally makes it down the service elevator with a couple of storage boxes. The gas station clerk calls all to the middle and explains what is going on. "Guys, we got a problem. The cops are going to be here in five minutes and know we're not just living honest law biding lives. Like I said before we had a rat and it was the chief, don't worry though he didn't know enough to bury us. I wouldn't even be surprised if he's working with them now. They already got our head of the inappropriate bookstore front in the other town over, I got notice thanks to the watchful eye. I grabbed some hostages as quick as I could and called you all here for this right now.
The rest of the workers listen for the orders while in the auto repair shop a worker doing maintenance on a vehicle didn't hear the warning. He finds that the elevator is not working properly so goes to the nearest entrance, the buffet. Halfway to the kitchen a S.W.A.T van pulls up in front of the restaurant's window. An enhanced voice shouts, "Freeze!" The worker begins a desperate run for the kitchen as the police open fire. He is hit twice, in the right shoulder and the left leg. He makes it down the ladder in time, but right before he goes for the final door to safety he is captured by the police who took the other entrance. Before he is sedated he watches one man from what looks like the demolition team rig c4 explosive on a wall.
As the gas station owner which appears to be the leader explains the last of the preparation he says one last thing. "We've been preparing for this because we thought it could happen. It's happening right now, they know we're here, they're coming to get us. We are not going down for this. Get to the training area, get armed and get ready. Let's go."
Back in the gas station, an officer holding the newspaper goes up to the wall, tacks the front page headline on it, and laughs. The swat team is getting ready, a man says "Lock and load men". The rest soon reply, "Good to go sir" "Are the explosives set?" The demolitionist replies, "The bomb is hot. We're ready to go."
The law enforcement team branches off and heads for the underground, as the criminal leaders gather all the men and prepare to defend their base.
